WITHOUT A DAY OF REGRET
WITH MOMENTS I WILL NOT FORGET
I REMEMBER WITH ALL I HAVE LEFT
THE THINGS I LOVE THE BEST

MY LIFE IS NEAR THE END
BUT I’M AFRAID I CANNOT MEND
BUT TODAY I FINALLY FEEL OKAY
AS I LIVE IN MY LAST DAY

I may have just been in a cheerful mood when I commented. But what I personally took from the poem was a person who was about to die, looking back on their life peacefully. Sorry to surprise you with unexpected jolliness.

I may have just been in a jolly mood when I commented. But what I personally took from the poem was a person who was about to die, and looking back on their life.

They had been through good and bad times, and they were very peaceful about it. I like that idea. Sorry if I surprised you with unexpected cheerfulness.
