Laugh as much as you breathe, and love as long as you live <3

So here’s the poem you asked me to write
And in my unbiased opinion it’s way outta sight
I mean, not to be cocky or overconfident
But that last clever couplet was no accident

As you might have noticed in those two playful rhymes
I write with a style that none can define
I stick to no beat
And make rules as I go
‘Cause poetry’s more fun with no plan to follow

I keep things light because the world could use
A little more jazz, a lot less blues
In other words, what I’m trying to say
Is a brighter poem makes a brighter day

I shudder to think of boring symbolism
And rely instead on simple witticisms
As an English teacher, you probably disapprove
But I’m also going to guess that you’re
Never encountered a poem of this kind
Which you’ve gotta admit is blowing your mind
Come on now, give credit where it’s due
You’re shocked by the brilliance in front of you
So take a moment, catch your breath
I promise you there’s not much left

I hope you enjoyed this rebellious creation
And assure you I meant to cause no consternation
I’m aware that it lacked intellectual depth
But go teach biology if you’re here to dissect

I actually really liked this. Bright and colourful language, fun beat, well-rhymed language... Good job!
