Orange leaves fall from my tree limbs
Scattering in the wind about my feet
Crisp as ginger cookies on a sheet.
Winter says its hello
I am autumn’s reverie
Sighing gold sighs
And filtering mellow, mellow,
Softer than cotton
Brighter than yellow.
