Favorite Quote:
What things there are to write, if only one could write them! My mind is full of gleaming thought; gay moods and mysterious, moth-like meditations hover in my imagination, fanning their painted wings. But always the rarest, those streaked with azure and the deepest crimson, flutter away beyond my reach. ~Logan Pearsall Smith

I keep tripping over my own feet
The cracks in the sidewalk just got longer
'N since I keep falling I got holes in my jeans
The space between me and reality's wider

It's like there's banana peels on the floor
I'm finding all these bruises on my elbows
Don't got no money to pay for a fix
Could you maybe tell what do now?

This is life in the full extension
Make way for my 5th dimension
I gotta lot of things I wanna say
But I can't talk if my lips are stuck on "hey"

I'm stuck on "hey"

Suddenly my car is all out of gas
The tires on my bike are in need of some air
I lost the pump a long time ago
Do yo know where do I go from here?

I think I found a way to spin my head around
But it requires me to work very hard
That's something I'm very reluctant to do
But I'll have to if I wanna go any farther

This is life and welcome to it
Grab a drink and you just blew it
I gotta a lot of things I wanna do
But I can't make it if my hands are glued

And my lips are stuck on "hey"

Maybe at 18 I don't know much of life
And maybe I'm gonna make lots of mistakes
Maybe there's lots I'm not gonna get right
And that's part of the push and pull, give and take

This is life I wish it wasn't
Using so much energy to believe in today
Maybe I'll never be as smart as my cousin
Doesn't mean I have to throw it all away

I'm still stuck on "hey"
Haven't found out a way
To get past today
But that's okay
I'll get there someday

The author's comments:
life is such a broad subject. generations of people will live and die and never exhaust it, because every person is different.
