Favorite Quote:
What things there are to write, if only one could write them! My mind is full of gleaming thought; gay moods and mysterious, moth-like meditations hover in my imagination, fanning their painted wings. But always the rarest, those streaked with azure and the deepest crimson, flutter away beyond my reach. ~Logan Pearsall Smith

Silver flashes
Glint of steel over water
Reflection of regal bearing as the beast soars through clouds
Crimson scales burnished fine glitter under immense wings
Veins strain and pump
Spikes flatten
Grass is torn from the earth
Dirt flies
Shadow colors green to grey
A delicate touch
Air whooshes as wings are folded down
Sharp claws bite the ground as majesty strides the plains to shale and rock
Dragon returning home

Smooth over rough
A silent shadow weaves through the rocky maze of dead leaves and dust
Light glints off black scales
Tongue. Complete silence
Shadow shifts as body rears
Swifter than sight, strike!
Black scales slither onward
Treasure is clutched in greedy fangs
Snake returning home.

Pale fleshy slime
Dirt and grime and filth
Wet and blind, crawling on stomach
Slowly. Tunnel. Tunnel
Wiggle and roll
White and grey and brown
Dirt and water
Stone fragments
Worm returning home
