It is not about waiting for the stom to pass.
Its about learning to dance in the rain.

I felt strange walking down these halls.
Pictures of people I didn’t know.
The more I walked
The more I noticed facial features that seemed new to me.
Vending machines, parking LOTS and sport fields
You’ve gotta be kidding me.
Before I knew it – I was lost

ost in the movies I used to watch

st in the books I used to read

t in the image I had in mind
In the middle of that dream (that turned out to be reality)
- a hand tapped my shoulder- “are you lost?” she asked.
I, I shook my head and walked away.
Because I didn’t want anyone to notice that I wasn’t from here.

that I was different.
That I didn’t know why I had to stand up
neither knew what the moment of silence was for!
…but I guess I did it anyways…
And as the clocks arms leaned forward

the calendar eventually lost weight
I stood in enmity with the questions I answered every day
And the ones I had to ask almost rhythmically
“What does that mean?” – “What did you say?”
As I got fed up with the baffled looks and the high-pitched “OMG you don’t know?” that followed
…thought became my language
and silence my pronunciation

with tears as my ink writing down my cheeks

707 days later

--that language was long replaced by words

But at 8:48 and 55 seconds on the 9th of April 2012

I feel as strange as strange could feel
