Thou may think of me as desired, to idolize or villanize me whichever you may choose. but gaze upon me and thou sall not see the husk of a man! for all my sins and all my bliss, i am anything but hollow

the world rushes by... a flood of empty faces fill my veiw... but who am I? who am I to call the faes empty when i myself wear a mask of darkness, a mask of logic, a mask of deciete, i wear emotions that i do not own, reactions that come so natural but feel so cold and mechanical... when will the mask I wear become real... become a true beacon of the face it hides. when will I emerge from my chains and show the world what i hide... when will my mask move, when it smiles, when it cries... iawait the day when it speaks to me and says; "I am you, you can be me... i have cried your tears and i have screamed for your pain... now accept me" but still it remains, unmoving, unalive.

this is the mask i wear.
this is the mask WE ALL wear...

The author's comments:
this is about the false masks we show to the world so that our reactions and emotions can be accepted but we all truly want to be genuine and real so as to one day wake up and realize that you and your mask are one in the same

This is a very compelling piece. I felt very drawn in by the use of words and vocabulary. It flowed very well.

I love the theme of this piece. And how you have portrayed it. My only suggestion is that you edit your articles before submitting expecially the spell check. Other than that, I think you have made your very own style and it is visible in each of your writings so much so that if you posted anonymously I'd be able to tell it's yours. In this one my favourite lines are "reactions that come so natural but feel so cold and mechanical."
