Wow. This makes me think of the line in the song 'Back to December': "Because the last time you saw me still burns in the back of your mind: you gave me roses, and I left them there to die." The image this poem creates is heartrending.

Amazing imagery with a tragic story behind it- so much conveyed with just three lines. This is really amazing- keep writing!!
