It's like you purposely do things just to see what I'll do
No matter what it's always win, win, win and never lose for you
I thought we were friends since we worked out our differences from last year
But you're such an expert at always keeping things unclear

Well maybe it's me and my mistake of being too easily misled
But I think it's you and your disgusting need to paint my walls every shade of gray
My brother claimed I was going insane but he was just blind
I'm still not fine and this poem is to let you know why

Dear Joe, What made you turn so cold?
Remember how you said being mature was the way to go?
What happened to that rule? Did that not apply for you?
You probably just lied, I didn't know

I told you some things your mind still probably hasn't processed
You made my life hell, do you want me to be impressed?
I don't know why I'm even writing about you now
Like you said so many times that night, "You have to move on somehow"

I know there's a game of revenge you'd probably like to play
I think I'll take your turn since you never apologized, just left me in your driveway
But this is just one of those situations no one else understands
And I despise how I ignored my best friend's demand, "End this while you can"

Dear Joe, I think that it's time you know
Perhaps I'm a little haunted
Isn't that what you wanted?
I don't know

You are a master of innocence and so awfully poignant
Always on the prowl when someone is wounded
You've made me fade so dull and brought me down
You almost burned me out

Dear Joe, I suppose that it's time to let go
Because that boy you were cruel towards wrote you this poem
You'll never know

The author's comments:
I tend to write my pieces as situations are happening to me. So, there's always going to be someone who is plain mean to you. Eventually it gets to a point where you need to take your frustrations out in any way. I've turned to writing as far as I can remember. Hopefully, people can realize that although we get hurt, we can still move on and be the better person.

I like the line 'It's like you purposely do things just to see what I'll do. No matter what it's always win, win, win and never lose for you' because it explains the way I feel. I feel that people do things just to see what I do, and no matter what i'm always the one that's wrong.
