As Head of Visual Art for my high school, I decided I would leave my mark by creating various stenciled pieces throughout school. This piece was part of that project and has since been used on cards, the school yearbook, the school's master plan, and on the Facebook page for Scape, a non-profit organization based around public art. The reason this piece became so poignant to the people within Christchurch post-earthquakes was the calm air of determination to fix what has become broken in our lives and in our city.
