Revolving Circle
Live Day by Day
What a common phrase
Something I refuse to accept,
Let alone embrace.
Why live day by day,
When all you see is clouds of gloom and gray,
That reflect the repeated failures you make
Oh, child,
Don’t forget about all the times you’re on your sore knees to hopelessly pray!
Days go
Weeks proceed
Months come along
Then a year is complete
We climb to the peak of the mountain
And there’s nothing there.
So we turn back, disappointed.
Back to that Revolving Circle,
And do it all over again.
