Grey.
Grey is the color of the sky before a storm.
It is the color of the lone moth dying in the spiders web.
Grey is the color of the dust that consumes the glass face and satin
dress of the forgotten
porcelain doll.
Grey is the color I wish the sky was today.
But instead a rainbow fills the wide berth of the pregnant sky.
I walk cursing the sky for not
making it a grey day, because grey
is so much easier to deal with.
I step onto the black asphalt of the street, I notice the yellow lines.
Life just isn't fair.
I notice the car, I hear how fast its going, but I cant move fast enough. I guess the car doesn't see me either, because it runs into me; and I soar thousands of feet into
the air.
Im an angel with no wings.
I come back to the earth bloody and ruined, bloody and dead.
I look up to the sky with glassy eyes, if a rainbow is the last thing I see before death comes for me I'll be happy.
But instead the sky churns, it opens and raindrops graze my
unmoving body.
The sky is grey.
