He glimpsed her face, pale against the growing darkness, staring into him with such a forlorn and depressing look that he had to reach for her to comfort. But his hands met nothing, falling through the thin air in front of him. He searched widely, and found nothing once again. Nothing but darkness, emptiness.
Nothing.
And then he felt a cold touch pulling him away. It was too dark to see the small fingers that gently tugged his soul.

Tell me what you think of this. I wrote it as a part of a story- but I don't know what story that is yet. Any ideas?

hmmm....  i thought of supernatural ghost type stuff. (Great imagery by the way :) ) i can almost feel that hand tugging my own soul away into the story. do you want it to be a horror story, or maybe a mystery?
