Autumn Senses
I see dried up pale colored leaves like fall is already here but it’s just on its way.
They all seem dead and turned over. I see the brightness of the glowing yellow sun when I wake up in the morning. It’s losing its beam and will soon die down for the upcoming season.
I see leaves about to fall from their comfort zone onto the cold, damp, almost full ground like a baby being released from the womb and brought into the world.
I smell dried up-dull colored autumn leaves like walking through a pumpkin patch.
I smell the crisp chill of the ending summer season like chilly weather is on its way.
I smell grass that is dried up like hay because of the lack of rain.
Oh how wonderful autumn can be.
