We look in mirrors to what purpose? Is there a meaning, more than vanity, about a reflection? Perhaps, it is an assurance, an acknowledgement we’re still there. For the people born into a life that demands them to be numb on the inside, to show no emotion and feel nothing: these people begin to fade as a person until they no longer feel visible. The invisible people are lost to an extent where they only thing they recognize in their lives are the ghost of themselves that appears in a piece of glass. This ghost of themselves can be controlled like a puppet with out strings. But when that reflection is no longer familiar, when it flickers and fades until the image that presents itself is no longer them, when they stare at a stranger who stares back with the same lost look in their eyes, the same lack of control: that is when they have truly lost themselves and joined the invisible people.
