Zonara Colors the Land
Zonara had arrived in a land of no color. Everything around her was dreary and lifeless, all in shades of off white. So she set about coloring the land. From her bag she pulled fruits, berries, and flowers. These she crushed and mixed with water to create paints. With barely teal Zonara colored the skies and the oceans. Tickled pink enchanted the flowers surrounding her feet, and light yellow graced the sun. Zonara then colored the animals. She brushed strokes of soft brown onto the squirrels and rabbits, crimson red and royal blue for the birds, and spotted the fawns with cream and beige. Her work completed, Zonara turned to leave and return home. She stepped softly over the moss brought alive with spring green, and reached her hands out to lightly brush the golden wheat rustling in the soft spring breeze. Zonara turned once more to look at her creations before disappearing into the mist she had painted with cool grey only moments before.
