Darkness keeps ticking. It’s composed of hours, minutes, seconds. It goes on and on, and it doesn’t stop for anyone or anything. You watch darkness as the numbers flashing on your phone constantly switch. You watch darkness as the hands on your watch keep rotating. You watch darkness, and you do nothing about it. It’s impossible to stop, it’s impossible to skip, it’s impossible to alter. It’s everywhere and in everything. It’s within the crow as it picks on the dead snake. It’s within my sister when she talks to me. It’s within me. We all have darkness within us to some extent. And, we can’t do anything about it.
