The sun had set down hours ago
It's a calm breezy night over kanagawa, japan
The boy reached the coast of the beach , as he was walking down , feet touching the wet sand and water splashing into them , wind slightly brushing his hair

Late night walks were his favourite time
He would enjoy how quiet it was , the peaceful silence
Only he and the moon shining brightly upon him

He looked up at the starry sky
Gazed at the beautiful moon
Took his time admiring her

The moon
The most beautiful thing on earth
She was his peace , his comfort , his light

Whenever he felt like drowning into the deep ocean
She would lay down her moonlights , offer an ear to listen

There before
His eyes landed on someone else....

“At first I couldn’t even think about liking you..”

chapter 2

Beautiful
He thought

Dark eyes
Just as the night
Yet shiny just as her

Short raven's hair
Soft and pale skin

She would gaze at the moon
She would keep the silence
She wouldn't mind his presence at all

So would he...
They wouldn't speak
Her eyes wouldn't meet his

Yet he wouldn't feel lonely
He wouldn't feel empty anymore

Would she stay ?

“ it’s like a destiny , matching my pace with you “

chapter 3

She wouldn't leave his mind
He would wait all day long
To meet, when the moon is shining

It's been a while
He couldn't help but be curious
He would like to know her name
He would like to hear anything about her

So , finally
He put up his courage
Slowly , step by step he approached

A small tap on the shoulder was enough to get her attention, as finally their eyes met and she greeted him with warm smile , even though they haven't spoken until that moment

- i was wondering when you would talk to me - the girl said , as if her eyes were smiling along

- oh...i'm not sure what I am supposed to say, i guess i just want to know your name ? - he replied nervously , his mind went blank and he almost couldn't speak properly

- just my name? - she said and let a small giggle

- yeah..no. I mean , i would like to get to know each other , if that's okay with you ... - he tried to explain after getting back to his sense

- i would love to ! my name is Hanako , Kitagawa Hanako, pleasure to meet you...

- Asakura Jo.

“ I had to wait all day (moon is shining shining) “

chapter 4

Days would feel like years
Hours would feel like days
Minutes would feel like hours
Seconds would feel like thousand minutes

He would wait all day long
Until the moon is shining upon

They would share laughs , stories
They would share the silence , the peace

⁃ say , Jo… if you had one superpower , what would it be ? - hanako asked gazing to the view of the dark night and ocean

⁃ I would like to fly… - he replied eyes fixed on her

⁃ is there any reason you would chose that ?-the girl chuckled

⁃ so I could go to the moon and tell her how beautiful she is. What about you, hanako? - the boy added as his eyes moved to the girl

⁃ I would cure…

“Now ,my days get more colourful every time you draw me in like gravity “

chapter 5

Their first photo
Jo smiled to himself
He found his hearth fluttering

He wouldn’t admire the moon as before
He would admire her…

So when did that happen?
Something changed since that day
Since the day she brought them together

The moon
Jo couldn’t be more grateful to his friend
How lucky is he to be blessed with her gift…

“Even if I don’t say it with words , I’ll always be by your side”

chapter 6

The fresh air filled up her lungs as she took a deep breath , her eyes closed and before realising the warm touch of tears were falling down her cheeks

Her hearth ached
Her mind would go around in circles
He body would eventually give up slowly

Her tired eyes would tell
Her sore voice would speak
He landed his shoulder to her

They wouldn’t say a word
Yet , she could feel his comfort
His presence was enough

“ even without saying anything, we can always understand each other”

chapter 7

His feelings were growing with each day
Without realising he already knew
He was in love with Hanako

It was a quiet night
Just as that fateful one

He would hear his heart pumping into his ears
His burning face wouldn’t cool down yet

Eyes full of hope awaited
Heart full of flutters awaited
The boy awaited his moon to rise

But she wouldn’t
His moon
Was gone…

“Hey , look! The moon that we’re looking up at together.
I can feel this unspoken “I love you”

chapter 8

Day by day
He would wonder
What brought her that night

⁃ how come up you’re always here when I need you… - Jo sighed looking up to her

Would the moon envy that he admired Hanako more than her ? Is that why she took her away ?

Underneath the moonlight
He found her letter

His world was too small for the two of them
So the moon took her child , so she could hear him saying how beautiful she is , so she could see how lovely his gaze is

It’s just him and her
Him and his love….

“We were bound to come across each other and so , we did”
