We arrive at Auschwitz
Look at all those shoes, those glasses, that hair! My shoes, my glasses, my hair! We are directed twenty at a time into a room like sheep being herded into the barn for sheering. There are three large women standing in the room, each clasping a large pair of sheers with bags bulging on the floor at their feet. I am pushed in front of one. She clutches my braid in her pudgy hand and snip... drops it into the bag at her feet. Oh how I loath these people, these inhuman creatures, these monsters. They've taken my clothes, my shoes, my hair, my friends, my family, my life.
