Space
Space, the one place that has not been explored by man (very much). The place will soon be explored, by Nick L. Frederick, the famous astronaut. He works for NASA as a commander in chief of astronaut training. He has served for NASA for 10 years and has won many medals for his hard work and dedication.
A new mission had come up, They wanted to visit the galaxy right next to the Milky Way, the Andromeda Galaxy. It's about 2.5 million light years away. Ever since we harnessed the speed of light travel, people at NASA have been working really hard to get a mission to another planet. After many tests, NASA finally had a successful ship. By the time Nick was working for NASA, four planets had been inhabited, including Pluto. NASA set up a special space station on Pluto hoping to be able to create a closer launch point to the Andromeda Galaxy. A year before, the Hubble telescope had taken a picture of a planet that looked like it had water on it. Sadly, the telescope went into the orbit of the of the planet, and NASA has not had any connection with the telescope.
Nick has been training for a mission like this his whole life. NASA just has to create a way to get there without the crew dying. Nick needed to start putting together his crew. Nick made a poster that read “ASTRONAUTS NEEDED”. He had over 105 people sign up to be interviewed. Nick only needed four more.
After over a month of interviewing, Nick had his crew. Their names were Lisa, Doug, Brady, and Dave. They all were very intelligent and specialized in a specific field. After the interviewing, they started training for this rough and savage trip. They tried new training techniques and training machines. Meanwhile, NASA was trying and failing over and over for an engine that will take them to the far off galaxy. NASA wanted that trip to take a maximum of two years to get there. The closest NASA has gotten, is an engine that has two of the most rare space diamonds that give off a crazy amount of energy, but it would take 50 years with that design.
Nick and his crew have all gone through the training process twice already. NASA thinks they are more than ready. They just have to create a spacecraft that will get them there on time.
NASA decided to bring in Space X. Space X is a privately owned space company that was first to mars way back when. Together they could create a smarter design for a sustainable spacecraft.
I took four months of NASA and Space X working together they finally make space ship that will take them to the other galaxy in under 3 years. This was a huge success for space travel.
Nick and his crew had all gone through the training process times. And they were ready to launch. Once the spacecraft itself was built everyone was ready to go.
It was March 5, 3001, launch day. Nick and his crew loaded onto the spaceship and started the take off sequence. Every thing was go to launch. The countdown started, 10...9...8...7... the engines were engaged...6...5...4...3...the crew was ready...2...1.
“We have lift off”.
NASA was happy but the mission was not even close to over, they still had 3 years to go before they come to the Andromeda Galaxy.
Nick was commander, Doug was the engineer, Lisa was a doctor, Brady was scientist, and David was a professional programer. All of these people played an important role on the mission. None of these people had made any family yet so if something bad happened, not to much greevence would occur.
On the ship, there was a machine that made any kind of food out of air. And a machine that can take waste and turn it to cleaner water than a spring. Each person had their own small room. In their rooms, they had a bed a desk and a couple lights. Each person got to bring 100 lbs of personal supplies and decorations for their work and room.
At one point on their two year journey one of the programs that refreshes the oxygen, failed. David went to work. After two hours of fixing the program he finally fixed it. It was the only problem they had.
Nick mostly read the land sequence over and over (which was 400 pages long). Doug just messed around with his toy robot that he brought. Lisa also read a bunch of different books. Brady played Fortnite on his iPad. And David made a bunch of programs that will play different games with him. As you can tell, it was a very boring trip. They were only a year in.
In the past, many people looked up to the stars. But now a days people live in the stars. Not many people wanted to travel farther into the galaxy. This would make history, no matter what, even if the mission failed it would not be forgotten. There have been missions kind of like this going to a far off planet, but a galaxy, never.
After two years, Nick and his crew have been preparing for the landing on this planet they agreed to call Earth-X. They have entered the Andromeda Galaxy, and now they have to locate the planet and land on it. The mission was supposed to be two years one month, and four days. Since NASA hasn't located Earth-X, Nick and his crew would have to help find it.
A week later they found it. Everyone on the crew was getting ready to land on this new planet. Once everything was ready, NASA gave Nick the go. Everything was going pretty smooth but out of nowhere one of the rockets that allowed the ship to land, failed. Everyone was disintegrated on the explosion. But one of the camaras was left unscathed. NASA had its first sight of a new Earth. There was much sadness going around about the first mission, but NASA was already putting together a new crew and ship. This was a goal that would last ten years. Eventually they got there safe and sound.
