Steve sat in his English class, bored. The teacher droned on. Steve wished something exciting would happen.
Minutes passed. Suddenly, a series of loud shots rang from outside the classroom followed by screams. The door opened. A boy with a blood-splattered shirt pointed a pistol at Steve, and pulled the trigger.
The clip was empty.
