Pulse
The water slowly sank into her clothing. Gnawing through her jeans with stretching hands, soaking the fabric until it grew heavy. She didn't mind though, the water soothed her mind and calmed her nerves. Her long tangled brown hair skimmed across the surface of the water. She let her fingers glide across the pulsing waves as they hurried to the shore. A never ending cycle of failure, she noted, while watching a rather lonely wave crash in the distance. The girl contemplated diving in the ocean; she wanted to drift off to unknown lands. But it's far to easy to run away from problems, to leave her future, past and present, in the abyss for someone else to find. She stared into the water, seeing glimpses of her feet as they nestled themselves into the decaying light.
