You are sitting in the front seat of your car, tapping your fingers on the steering wheel. The only time you stop glancing at the silver watch strapped to your wrist is when you are searching far up the winding line of cars, calculating whether you will make it to your meeting in time. You glance at the rear-view mirror, to see your son in his car seat playing with action figures. You almost forgot he was back there. The traffic is barely moving, so you pause to watch him play. Spiderman slides down the seatbelt, flips off the arm rest of the car seat, and kicks Hulk to the ground with an animated “Woosh!” You know that in his imagination, he’s not locked in a car seat in the middle of traffic. Spiderman’s swinging off buildings, and fighting with Hulk on roof tops. Then the traffic starts moving again. You start thinking about your meeting again. Catching a glance at yourself in the side view mirror, you wonder when you lost your superpowers.
