Call Me Ms. Curiosity
Maria, she lived in house in Oklahoma City with her mother Kristen and her two brothers Jared, and Joey. Although, her father left when Maria was only 5-years old. Leaving her desperate to know who he was. Every night Maria wished what her father looked like or would of been, but never received any answers. Kristen, her mother described her husband as allow lifer with a few anger problems, but sweet as a vial of rose oil. In despair, Joey, Jared and Maria were left without a father. Leaving Kristen without a husband, and only her kids. Fears of abandonment, Kristen now suffers with. Dealing with the words that she spoke often about him, rang in her ears, screaming at the top of her lungs inside of her head to forget the pain and memories, he had left. Her heart ached with all the painful memories that flushed through her mind. If only I could get these memories to go away, she thought in her head. Kristen sat in misery. Paralyzed from head to toe, and couldn't even speak. As the painful memories of her ex husband flew out of her mind. She began to wiggle her toes first, and then her fingers. Her senses slowly coming back. Her eyes, red, from the crying she had done. Tears rolled down her cheeks leaving water marks on her rosy cheeks. Maria, Kristen's youngest daughter walked in the bedroom, she noticed her moms eyes were red and watery because her mother was crying, hard. To see the tears that were left on her mothers heartbroken face. Maria walked over and sat on her mothers lap, Maria spoke in a soft gentle voice not straddling, her mother. " Momma, what's wrong?" Maria said as she lifted a hand wiping the tears away. Kristen instantly awoke from her painful memories that laid threw her head. She looked at her daughter with a gaze, "Nothing dear, nothing at all." She spoke so quiet, quieter than a mouse. Maria cried out to her, wanting an answer, " Momma, I know it's not nothing. Just tell me, I can take it." Kristen shook her head, " No, Maria. You wouldn't understand." She yelled at her daughter but felt sorry, as if they words pained her to do so.
Maria sighed as her mother rose her voice. A trickle of water that formed into a tear rolled down her cheeks. " I'm sorry momma." Maria said stuttering her words as she spoke. Her mother Kristen let out a soft, but high sigh, " No Maria. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you." Kristen and her daughter Maria always shared what was on their mind, or their feelings about something that made them think. But some things should be kept to themselves. It was nearly past Maria's bed time. She placed a soft kiss on her mother's forehead, as she got up from her mothers lap and walked to the door, closing the door tightly behind her. She walked to her room to get ready for bed. It was about 9:32 p.m. Maria knew she should have been in bed already. She got into her red shorts, and a tank-top, after she changed and went to go brush her teeth. She moved swiftly to the side of her bed. Kneeling down, as she said in a soft voice. " God, please help my mom, my brothers, and myself. Please, bless our family. Goodnight God. Amen." She said, as she hopped into bed, looking out the night sky as she laid her head down on her pillow pulling the covers over her. She loved to see the night mist before she went to bed. She then gently curled herself up into a ball, closing her eyes tightly not wanting to be disturbed. It was the next day, the first day of school. Maria woke up and got ready for the day. She was in a rush, because of her alarm clock didn't wake her up at the correct time. She pulled on her jeans, and a top flying out of the door grabbing her bag as she headed down to the bus. She got onto the bus, as usual all seats were taken but one from this guy that would scream randomly. She sat in the seat across from the guy, and let out a soft sigh and continued to head to school.

What inspired me to write about this, is because it kind of relates to my life, and I just decided to put a piece of me in my work.
