Vacation: Destination Florida
Brittany was going on a family vacation to Florida over winter break. She had been traveling all day long and she is exhausted. Once she gets into her room, she goes straight to bed, excited for what is in store tomorrow.
She wakes up, and is so excited to be in Florida and be able to relax. She instantly goes to the beach, the temperature is in the high 80s by 10:00. Once she’s on the beach, she notices these 3 cute boys sitting near her spot. At first she wasn't thinking anything of it, but after a while she realized that they are staying at the same resort she is, and they kept looking at her. Brittany and her cousin, Natalie, decided to go on a beach walk. Little did they know, the 3 guys were also on a beach walk, and they were walking in the same direction. Brittany and Natalie caught up to the 3 guys, and they kept on hinting to them that they wanted to start talking.
They did start to talk, and they eventually made plans to hang out that night. The two girls and their friend, Ella, met up at the guys condo that night. They watched TV and listened to music, but later on the decided to go on a beach walk. They walked all the way to the end of the island, onto a fishing pier, where all 6 of them watched the fireworks for New Years Eve. Natalie and Ella had to be back around 1:00 in the morning, so they started to walk back a little early, with the two other guys. Brittany and they guy she was with, who was named Ben, just slowly walked behind the rest of them, casually making conversation with each other.
They kept on turning around to watch the fireworks, which were beautiful with the full moon sitting near them and the stars everywhere in the sky. After a few times of turning around, Ben made a move on Brittany by putting his arm around her and kissing her. She was shocked at first, but then realized what was happening and went with it. As they were walking back to the condo, they were holding hands and just being happy, young teenagers.
They got back to the condo around 2:30 am, and they just watched a movie and hung out. Brittany fell asleep on Ben's couch, and Ben put a blanket on her and went to bed. He finally felt happy with someone.
Brittany, Ben, Natalie, Ella, and their friend Claire were sitting on their back porch, listening to music on Ben’s laptop and talking. Natalie, Ella and Claire all ended up leaving around midnight, and Brittany and Ben decided to go on a beach walk later that night. They walked for a good 2 hours, just talking about everything. It turned out that Ben lived near Washington D.C., and Brittany lives in Duluth, Minnesota. They were talking about how Ben is leaving to go home at 8 a.m. the next morning, and he’s staying up all night to pack. They talked about how they were going to work things out between them, and Brittany finally says “I don’t think we will work out, we live so far away and it just wouldn’t work.” Ben replies with “Yes, that makes sense and I agree with you.” They end the night off with a movie and talking about how they had such a great time together.
The next morning comes and since Ben left so early, Brittany didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to him. But they do talk for a few days after he left, and they remain good friends to this day. They check up on each other to see how each of them is doing, and they are happy as good friends.
