Belief In You
The world, the stars, revolve around me. I lay in the decedent grass, each piece lay still and watch the clouds. The trees swing and sway, dancing with the breeze. The wind spreads a sweet summer scent over my body, and I take it in. The birds woe each other with song, oh how I am longing to do the same. Your words scared me half to death sometimes, “I love you.” I believed you and took your words. For a few months you were indeed true, but then you spit them out like over- cooked cookies. I just wanna scream and loose control, throw my hands up and let it go, but because of you, ‘trust’ no longer exists in my love vocabulary.
