My Star...
I’ve always been taught that the stars are the souls of people closest to us, dead and alive. The brighter the star, the brighter the soul; this I believe.
You’re smile, so crooked and shy, chases the clouds away, and I know it’s never far away. You laugh at anything, funny or not. Nothing gets you down or, if it does, you never let it show. Unlike me, I yo-yo; flying as high as a kite one minute and then plummeting back to earth the next. You help me stay airborne.
Everyone loves you but not as much as me. Fun really is fun when you’re around. The mischievous look in your eyes, the smirk on your face; I know you’re up to no good, and I don’t care, so long as nothing happens.
I’ve always been taught that the stars are the souls of people closest to us, dead and alive. The brighter the star, the brighter the soul; this I believe.
There is a new star.
The brightest I’ve ever seen.
Guess who? <3
