Have you looked in the freezer recently?
There’s a chest freezer in the shed. It’s always so packed with stuff, I think it might explode. Yesterday, I found out why…
There was a dragon in the bottom.
No, really, there was. Yesterday, as I pulled a loaf of bread from the cold, white box, something caught my eye. A violent motion. Shrinking backwards as frozen fruit and vegetables exploded, I stumbled on the peas rolling around my feet.
“Quit stealing. That’s my bread,” it bellowed.
I still feel bad, but I can’t change what happened. I guess its skull was more fragile than I thought. Either that, or the loaf of bread was harder. Maybe both.
Anyway, there was a dragon in the freezer.
Just ask the peas.
