Dream world
It’s a peaceful in this dream world. The grass is long and light green, flowing in the cool wind. The bright yellow sun shins on my skin, warming me, the water that falls from the waterfall and into the pool below is clear and blue.
Tall trees here and there provide shade in the meadow. The grass is spotted with pink and yellow flowers. Fluffy white clouds patch the blue sky. Not a single other soul is here. No humans or birds or animals. Just me.
I collapsed in the grass and stared up at the sun. It did not make my eyes water or create spot in front of them. Many would say this world is perfect, but the longer I remain here, the more I realize that the wind does not lightly whistle in my ears, or feel it play with my hair.
I can’t hear the trickling water or smell the grass or the flowers, and the more I look around, the more I realize the colors bleeding to black and white. As I run my fingers through the blades of grass I’m unable to feel them pricking my fingers.
My dream world has become my nightmare.
