I am the product of human daring. I represent the doing of the impossible. Most scientists adore me. Some people shun me. Others deem me unnatural, something that was the not meant to live. But my organs are identical to theirs. My heart beats, blood pumps, and I live. It is not enough.
It started long ago. Stem cell research. Artificial skin. 3-D heart. Kidney. Lungs.
Then the Project began. Of course, there was the matter of ethics. But large companies have a way of getting what they want. And so, after many years of research and experimentation, I was created...
I still remain a mystery. My existence is questionable. My reactions and thoughts – they must be different from other humans. But how would I know.
Others speculate that I do not have the feeling of love - I was "born" (for lack of an accurate term) in a lab, no mother, no father. And there is no one to love me now. I just am a lab creation. Different. Alone.
