The Broken
I woke up to a shrill sound. The sound is ringing loud in my ears. I was sweating so much my sheets were damp. I got up and threw my covers off my bed. As I stood up I realized the shrill sound was the fire alarm. I screamed for my mother and father louder and louder, I got no response. I could only hope they were outside. I quickly ran to the door and felt the handle. The handle was burning hot. I had no other way out. I had to think of a way to get out of my house any way possible. I flung a sheet from my bed out the window as fast as I could and started screaming, I need to get someone’s attention. The sounds of sirens came flooding to my ear I had a small sigh of relief.
“What?” I said
“What?” I repeated. I couldn’t believe anything I had heard. I was broken, broken into a million pieces that couldn’t be put back together. It was devastating. I didn’t know where I would go or when I would be better all I knew was that my mother and father were dead. Dead and I didn’t even get to say goodbye. No I love you, no hugs, no kisses just nothing they are gone now and I didn’t get to say anything.
Years later I’m now 17 and I have a new family. But even though I have a new family I haven’t forgotten my family. I loved them and they were killed by a fire. Whoever created the fire I hope that you didn’t mean to. If you meant to shame on you broke a family and killed their souls. I’m better now but I still have to live with out my parents.
