Lost in the echo
Of raining tears
Like acid they fall
Painting a face with pain
Degrading what once was strong
To the weakest link.

Those droplets leak from broken pipes
That you thought you fixed
But you’re no plumber
So they drip and drop
Leaving scars and bruises
Trailing in pain.

You try to cry
To let all the excess energy drain
Down the tube
And to the sewers
Where animals of filth live and roam.

This is an example
An explanation
Of what happens when you don’t filter
Your thoughts and your words,
Your ugliness comes out
For the world to see
And it starts with one word
Similar to the meaning of this one:
Freak.

At my school, we're used to being called Charter Freaks, but when I hear the word 'Freak' being used somewhere else, the full potential of hurt hits me and it makes me realize how harsh of a word it is. No one is a freak, and no one should be called a freak.
