A Face of Despair
In the mirror lies a face of despair.
Shrunken by her misery she lies in tears. Her life is little more than weight. She here's a comment, whether positive or negative and uses it to cut herself down. She cries herself to sleep with nothing in her stomach. I'm too fat she thinks, over and over again. She hates doing this to herself, but is afraid to talk to someone to let her worries come rushing out. She starves herself until her mom finds out, and then life carries on. One day though it happens again, and the cycle repeats itself again. Her friends find out one day, and ask her why she does this. She simply replies," It's my life, and I'll do as I please." She says this in hopes that they'll leave her alone, but persistent the story finally comes tumbling out. Her friends don't yet know this, but she still can't trust herself or the mirror. If she trusts them all hope will be lost once again.
