Fever MAG
It crawls up my chest
Like a snake in water
Circulating through me, eating me
Fear, a disease
Making the sky red and the ground bottomless
And turning my legs to sticks
Sweat down my forehead
Almost feels like ice
Leeching out my soul
Forgetting my life for a second
Nothing else matters
The temperature rises
And it takes over
It leaves, but I still feel it
A disease in me, only in my head
Warm enough to boil my spine
Filling me with dense breath
But I still smile
Always
