Feedback on Overcoming Anxieties
I was looking through the November Teen Ink, and stumbled across the article “Overgrown Anxieties.” I looked at the title and was instantly drawn in. The author started it off peacefully, with her succulents. Soon enough the scene becomes chaotic. “I am slowly being suffocated,” The paragraph ends with the character blinded by the succulents that have consumed their very being.
This article is completely relatable, I have anxiety from absolutely nowhere and everywhere. Anxiety is hard to describe to anyone who has never experienced it, yet this piece described it beautifully. The succulents were an amazing analogy and held the piece together in a gorgeous way. The language is intriguing and I found the succulent analogy great.
