Body Language
I found Emma Seybert's article, ‘Body Language’ extremely touching because this girl was able to overcome the fact that she got called fat and feel comfortable enough to talk about it. In the article, Emma expresses the issue of getting called fat by a fellow student and how she doubts with it and overcome it in order to become a better person. I can relate to Emma when she started to think about all her insecurities because I know how it feels to beat yourself up because you think you’re not good enough. I completely agree with her instructor who said, “Never apologize for who you are!” because that is absolutely true. A person should never have to apologize for being who they are. I just want to say, Thank you, Emma, for feeling comfortable and for being strong enough to talk about your story.
