Tiffanie Matthews’s poem was completely different from what I thought it would be. When I saw the title, I thought it would be like a memoir of a dance or a poem of other memories that included heels. Instead, it broke my heart. I couldn’t imagine the pain of holding a well-loved dying family member in my arms and feeling their blood soak into my skin. I’m left wondering if she actually went through it because as hard as it can be to capture emotion in any type of work, she certainly accomplished doing so.

Do not go where the path may lead, but go intsead here there is no path and leave a trail.

Tiffanie is an amazing poet. I have been with her in her creative moments and there is no stopping her. I can also say that she hasn't gone through this.

Tiffanie just has that power. I happened to be her best friend, and I know she hasn't gone through that. But she does have a VERY big imagination. She has brilliant ideas that just pop into her head.
