"Steps in the Right Direction" Review
In October's issue, McLaren Stewart writes a hopeful piece called "Steps in the Right Direction." In this selection, McLaren talks about getting a pair of lightweight, slip-on shoes called TOMS. Because of her purchase, TOMS donated a pair of shoes to children in need.
TOMS is doing a great act with their “One for One” program. So many kids can benefit by a purchase made by someone who is fortunate enough to be able to buy the product. People don’t always stop and realize how lucky they are to have something as simple as shoes. The selection says that in some countries, whether or not a child has shoes decides if he/she is able to go to school or not, so a pair of shoes can make that much of an impact.
