Hysteria Is My Legacy
I enjoyed Devin Murphy’s story “Hysteria Is My Legacy” because it was extremely suspenseful and kept me reading. It creates a feeling of fear throughout the story, but also adds confusion as to why she is running and from whom she is running from. However, the added sense of confusion kept me reading so that I could figure out why she was in the situation. At the end, when she discovers her save haven is no longer there, she begins to laugh and face the fact that death is coming. All in all it creates a happier feeling, she was able to laugh and at the end says, “At least I died laughing.”
