I Want an Honest Poem
I really enjoyed reading Jenzo DuQue’s “I Want an Honest Poem”. It was so well written and I loved the style and honesty in it. I loved how the author used such honesty to describe how they wanted honesty in a poem. I thought that was really creative.
I especially liked how the author portrayed stuttering in the lines “st-st-stutters” and “pr-pr-pretty”, and how they used the repetition of the word poem at the end of a sentence describing the kind of poem they wanted. I thought the whole thing was just wonderful.
