"'hey'"
In the October issue of Teen Ink, I chose to write about "'hey'" written by Addi Fitzgerald, who makes me feel like I am hanging on the edge. She leaves me like this at the end of her short story, when she is texting a guy. She reveals all of the thoughts that are going through her head as she texts her love. She catches him holding the hand of another girl. He then sends her a text that night, baffling her. I feel that I have been put in this situation numerous times. Finding myself flirting with that person, only to end up getting in too deep with someone that just wants to chat. My phone is like the sun, as I am the Earth, revolving around it. It seems that the boy was just manipulating Addi. She ended up liking the guy, so she could have someone to talk to. The guy tragically breaks her heart by holding another girls hand. I see this type of situation daily at my school.
