I wholeheartedly agree with Lauren B in her article "Who Am I." I understand the feeling to lie to save the ones you love. Sometimes it is a dreadful idea, sometimes it is not. The strong emotion when Lauren quoted, "when we lost our apartment, I never asked for help". She started out poor but worked her way up to the top of the stairs, it is amazing having your own life to yourself at age 17 when Lauren said," I am 17, I rent my own place, pay my own bills,have my own car, and buy my own stuff. I am independent, I fully understand the quote, "a lot of things happened, words were said, feelings were shredded, but how I became who I am. I appreciate Lauren for showing me some knowledge and inspiration.
