Educator of the Year MAG
I really enjoyed Tori's Educator of the Year contest entry in the April issue. I instantly connected when she described Mr. Breitlow as a “great teacher” since I was fortunate enough to have one as well.
I was touched with Tori's explanation of how Mr. Breitlow wanted to follow in the footsteps of his deceased father, who had also been a teacher. Another part that stood out was the description of Mr. Breitlow's disappointment when his students did poorly on a research assignment. When students write about their favorite teachers, they often leave out events like this.
