Keeping Music Real
I completely agree with Abby. Music needs to be more about MUSIC, not how flashy the musicians are or what they are doing. I also can’t stand Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend.” A lot of the pop and rap music is centered around the “gangsta” appearance. A lot of that is just for show and is totally ridiculous, because those musicians have millions of dollars and are living in Beverly Hills, not the Bronx. Not only is MTV not helping because of the music they play, but it’s not helping with the TV shows it broadcast. Everything is so scripted and fake and nothing depicts real life.
