Pledge

"Pledge" by Mollie H. maybe a short poem, but it packs quite a bit of meaning. I thought the ending line was pretty funny, and true for many. Not everyone believes in God. Not everyone gets justice, only those who can pay for a good lawyer. This nation is a lot better than many other countries, especially with the whole "freedom of speech" thing we all have, but it isn't perfect. Sometimes people don't get the justice they deserve, whether it's that they should be in jail or they shouldn't be in jail. I see how the Pledge of Allegiance doesn't really apply to everyone, but Mollie's Pledge seems to apply to just about everybody.
