"I didn't tell you"
I found that Bettina Sack-Gallup’s article, “I didn’t let you” was very emotional yet extremely moving. Fear and danger had always been something parents always want their children to stay away from and never experience. However, Bettina does an exquisite job of highlighting someone’s need for answers, which can be the catalyst of finding out something that parents have been trying to protect you from. Additionally, she also includes how the brain can be either your best friend or your enemy. The brain can persuade you into making a certain decision, even throughout the story, Bettina explains “and a little package that Armando had put inside... I didn't like that package” (Sack-Gallup). This quote explains her purpose of how in the heat of the moment, you won’t speak your mind in fear of making matters worse, and “(she is) the reason you don’t make bad decisions, and (she) likes when you listen” (Sack-Gallup). The mind will always help you whether you agree with it at the moment or not. Thank you Bettina Sack- Gallup for explaining and showing the deep understanding of how the brain can truly save us from the unimaginable.

I was inspired to write this article refering to the article, "I didn't let you" by Bettina Sack-Gallup because personally I have had my brain take over me at one point in time, and at the moment I was upset because my brain said one thing while my body said the other. I trusted my brain and listened to what it had told me to do. To this day I thank my brain for stopping me from making that desicion which would have permenatly ruined my life.
