His, No Ours
If I could meet Harvey Milk
I would tell him
That I never once
Sacrificed his-
No, our, ordeals
Through the pain
I kept being me
And never let myself down
I spread his
No, our, message
That hate and intolerance
Is the truly unnatural thing to be practiced
And proof that a little gay boy
Can grow to be a legend
And a little gay girl
Can follow in his footsteps
And maybe make some of her own
