LGBTQ Movement
David Levithan is an author that writes about gay youths for the LGBTQ movement. This movement is focus on getting Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, and Transgenders rights that they don't have like getting married. Levithan writes about gay youths that struggle for acceptance but the characters personalities aren’t made by the struggles they have like similar books. His purpose in writing is to make people see it is acceptable to be gay or bi or trans and people shouldn't be ashamed because of it. Levithan’s works affect the world and people relate to them because they show everyday struggles that gay youths face like not being able to tell their people because they are afraid.. His writing impacts readers because they send a message. The message is not to be ashamed of who you are and if things are going wrong they will get better.
