Just A Geek
You can look at me as many times as you would like and think I'm annoying, or that I'm too smart for my own good. You can think that I'm too obnoxiously oblivious to life to be afraid. You can even hate me if you want to. But let me tell you, there are merit scholar things I haven't achieved . I am so afraid of high school that I cry myself to sleep sometimes. I used to have a lot of friends- and I still do. So see me as you wish, but inside I am a completely different scene.
Still, the label 'nerd' doesn't bother me. I don't care if you taunt me for what I look like. The truth is, I chose academics over boys- because I wanted to. Science is what makes me smile. Makeup won't make me pretty, and a clingy boyfriend won't make me popular. But by striving for my future, I am shooting for the moon- but I can land among the stars.
