Walk Past A Stranger
Walk past a stranger
No, you’re not in danger
You’re in an unfamiliar place
Surrounded by an unfamiliar race
Too many people to be alike
You feel like a little tyke
Give the wrong look, you’ll get a strike
Against your name
You will feel shame
Words taken too personally
Soon you will begin to see
Unwanted feelings
Lead to unnecessary dealings
That strips us of our ceilings
But no one thinks twice
When their words are the ones like ice
They don’t recall when they were excluded
So who cares if you get eluded?
Someone will think you’re too fat, others will say too thin
But at some point, you’ve got to win
Eventually we’ll all fit in
It may be hard to keep going
But life will always be flowing
It may be easier said than done
But sometimes you’ve got to listen to no one
Just stand your ground
And take a look around
You’ll see what you’re meant to have found
